Debit Cards are safe to use for online shopping and can also be an alternative to traveling with cash.  The best  debit cards will allow payroll funds to be transfered directly to your card.  This can be a great benefit to those without a bank account, as check cashing fee's would not apply.    Most debit cards have a Visa or MasterCard logo and guarantee approval.  An added plus is that some debit cards allow  check writing, but do not require applicants to be approved through CheckSystems prior to opening a debit card account.
